Fame vs. Success

"Don't confuse fame with success. Madonna is one; Helen Keller is the other." - Erma Bombeck

I chose this quote today because I saw where someone posted it and it kind of bothered me. Don't get me wrong I agree that fame and success are two different things but just because Madonna IS famous doesn't mean she can't be successful in the same ways that Helen Keller was. I'm not a huge Madonna fan nor an expert on Helen Keller but Madonna has accomplished many things in her career, especially for women. She is an inspiration to millions with her music and her "break from the mold" attitude and she leads by example that it's ok for women to show their sexuality. So why is she considered not successful? She made a change in the world for the better, I see that as success.

I feel as though I'm rambling a bit, the point of this was to say that success is different for everyone. Your success and your friend's success may or may not be the same. Success is fulfilling a goal you set out to accomplish. Don't let anyone rain on your parade because they have a different idea of what success should be. You define you, you define your success.

Always, positive thoughts = positive emotions
